How about letting the diamond do the talking rather than the salesperson? I am a terrible salesman, I’ll admit it; however, I am a successful one. Why? Because, I let the product sell itself. My view on jewelry is that if you have a quality product at a great value- one doesn’t need to “sell,” only show. A salespersons job is to educate. Find someone who makes the product and the process transparent and you have found a winner.
